You can know about God your whole life and still not know Him at all.
It’s easy to say you know something.
To recognize a name.
To nod along.
To feel familiar.
But familiarity isn’t the same as knowing.
You can know about something
and still not know it at all.
Think about it.
Someone says they’re a fan of an athlete.
They know the name. The reputation. The headlines.
But they’ve never watched a game.
Never studied how they move.
Never paid attention to how they lead.
At some point, it becomes obvious:
That’s not knowing.
That’s distance with a label.
Faith can look the same.
It becomes something we identify with
without ever stepping into it.
A name we carry
without a relationship we pursue.
Knowing God, Not Just About Him
Faith was never meant to stay on the surface.
Not something you inherit.
Not something you casually agree with.
Not something you check a box for.
It’s meant to be known.
Personally.
Intentionally.
Deeply.
To know God is to know His character.
How He moves.
How He loves.
How He restores.
How He shows up - again and again and again.
That kind of knowing doesn’t happen at a distance.
The Word Reveals Who He Is
Scripture isn’t just information.
It’s revelation.
It’s how we see God clearly.
John puts it plainly:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.”
- John 1:1, 14
Jesus is the full expression of God.
Not partial.
Not symbolic.
Not abstract.
Fully revealed.
So if you want to know God,
you look at Jesus.
One Story. One Center.
The Bible isn’t a collection of disconnected ideas.
It’s one story.
The Old Testament points forward.
The New Testament reveals fulfillment.
And at the center of it all is Jesus.
Every page points to Him.
Every part reveals something about Him.
Clarity Changes Everything
You’ve felt it before.
That moment when something clicks.
What you thought you understood… shifts.
The light changes, and suddenly you see more than you did before.
That’s what happens when you encounter Jesus.
You start to see clearly:
yourself
your life
your need for Him
the way you show up in the world
Not perfectly.
But honestly.
Truth to Carry With You
Faith isn’t about claiming a title.
It’s about knowing God.
And knowing Him takes intention.
You open His Word.
You seek His character.
You pay attention to how He moves.
And over time, something shifts.
Because what you truly know
is what begins to shape you.
So ask yourself:
Do you actually know Him - or do you just know about Him?
All the Glory,
- Glory’d
