Glory’d began out of my desire for a cross necklace I could actually wear every day - one I never had to take off, whether I was at the gym, in the shower, or at the beach.

I wanted something I didn’t need to worry about tarnishing, breaking, falling apart - let alone losing! Something I could put it on and simply enjoy wearing, without a second thought.

When my husband offered to buy me the necklace, I searched high and low but couldn’t find what I was looking for. He’s a generous guy and he love me deeply. I've overheard him on more than one occasion say he loves me like Jesus loves the Church. When he said he wanted to buy me the necklace I knew he was willing to purchase anything I chose, even something with a steep price tag.

Still, the options felt surprisingly limited. What I found fell into two extremes: solid gold pieces that were beautiful but expensive and delicate, or inexpensive jewelry that I knew wouldn’t hold up over time. Neither felt right. I wanted something durable, beautiful, and practical - without the anxiety that comes with wearing something too fragile or too costly.

At the same time, a key part of this story is that I already had years of experience designing and manufacturing jewelry, just not faith-based jewelry. For nearly two decades, I’ve worked in the online space building multiple businesses, including a jewelry line created specifically for athletes - pieces designed to withstand sweat, movement, and everyday wear. I understood materials, manufacturing, and what it takes to create jewelry that truly lasts in real life.

That’s when it became clear how few options existed for beautiful, durable faith-based jewelry. It also became clear that I was being called to create exactly what I was looking for.

Glory’d was born from that gap. Named as a variation of the name of my childhood church, Gloria Dei, Glory'd carries thoughtfully made, waterproof, hypoallergenic, durable jewelry designed for real life.
